Professional Experience

  • Minimum of at least 4 years experience in doing project accounting. The incumbent should have a good understanding of Govt. accounting system. Other experience could be added advantage.
  • Acquired experience, and be familiar with project planning, procurement process and financial management of the GOS
  • Working familiarity with operational procedures relating to internationally-funded development projects: experience on public sector projects and/or with bi-lateral or multi-lateral funding agencies
  • At least 3 years experience at a managerial level in accounting

Education and Training

  • B.Sc. in Accounting and/or ACCA/CPA/M.Sc. in Accounting.
  • Training in relevant fields management, financial management, accounting is preferable

Other Requirements

  • Working computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite, Accounting
  • Strong leadership capabilities including conflict resolution; good interpersonal relations; strong initiative and results orientation
  • Ability to quickly build and maintain productive relationships with high level Government officials and other key stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, both in Dutch and English
